During the 2008 season, Marcus help lead the Georgia Force to a first place 10-6 record with 14 tackles and 3 assists at the cornerback position.
College
During his college career at Albany State (Georgia) the two-time All-American made 154 tackles, 37 passes defended, seven interceptions, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and six blocked kicks. He also tallied 888 career kickoff return yards on 37 attempts. As a senior, Marcus collared 53 tackles, 12 passes defended, two interceptions, and returned two punts for two touchdowns, earning Second-Team All-SIAC for his performance. He was also named Preseason All-SIAC. As a Junior, he led NCAA Division II football in passes defended (21) in addition to recording 58 tackles, five interceptions, six tackles for a loss, one fumble recovery and one blocked kick.
Marcus earned a degree in health and physical education.
